The memorial reads: “Erin go brach Bartholomew Teeling Erected by the people from Twinbrook and Poleglass to commemorate the Teeling family and the United Irishmen in this Bi-centenial year 1798 – 1998″. The memorial features the emblem of the United Irishmen, a silhouette of a United Irishman volunteer carrying a pike and the Easter lily. It is enclosed by a black wrought iron fence. Outside the fence on the pavement – two plaques reading: “1798″ and “1998″.
